Metal Rescue Gel Metal Rescue™ GEL is a citric-acid based solution designed for removing rust from iron and steel. Metal Rescue GEL is non-toxic and environmentally safe to use. GEL is nonflammable and contains no solvents or phosphoric acid.
TechCorro™[FL] Metal Rescue™GEL is a rust remover designed for iron and steel. It is safe on metals other than iron and steel as long as they are not left in contact with GEL for too long. GEL will remove some oxides from copper, brass, and nickel but contact time is critical. What other metal can be used? Safe on brass, copper, chrome, gold, lead, nickel, silver, titanium, tungsten, solder or solder points – CONTACT TIME MUST BE CHECKED, as the length of contact time is dependent upon the amount of oxidation present and alloy composition. It is recommended that these metals be checked approximately every 30 minutes so as not to damage to surface under the oxidation layer. Also completely safe on rubber, plastic, clothing, glass and other surfaces are unharmed by water alone. Metal Rescue Gel is not recommended for use on magnesium or magnesium alloys, zinc or aluminium. Recommended Application One 500g container of Metal Rescue GEL will cover 0.148 square metres (230 sq. inches) of surface area if applied 3.17 mm thick. Metal Rescue GEL can be used on any size area of rust as long as you have the ability to keep it moist using common household plastic wrap. We recommend limiting the application of GEL to surface areas no larger than approximately 381 mm by 381 mm at a time (which is equal to the coverage capacity of one container of GEL) if applied at 3.17 mm thick as indicated in the instructions for use. For iron and steel metal parts that can be soaked, Metal Rescue Rust Remover Bath is recommended. Temperature Alert Optimal operating temperatures for Metal Rescue GEL are 20ºC (68ºF) to 65ºC (150ºF). When is Metal Rescue™ Gel exhausted? The GEL will darken in colour as it removes rust. The pH will be approximately 7.2 and specific gravity will change from 1.04 to 1.08. Skilled technicians are constantly reviewing and developing new products that are most often, customer led. Testimonials"The parcel of Metal Rescue arrived this morning, just wanted to say thanks for your excellent service and very pleasant customer care. I'll definitely be using your company again if I need anything else you supply and will recommend you to anyone else taking on any similar projects to myself"
Pete Hawley - West Midlands "I was looking for some way of removing the rust out of an old Honda CBR 250 fuel tank. The inside of the tank was completely solid with rust and was blocking the inline filter that I had installed. I talked to several people, but no one could give me an easy way of getting rid of the rust, so I searched online to see if there was anything out there to help. I came across Metal Rescue™ online and there were a few videos saying how good it was and easy to use and, to be honest, it sounded a bit to good to be true to me, being the sceptic I am. I figured it was worth a try so I sent off an email to see if I could get some shipped to me. The staff were very helpful and they arranged a delivery of some Metal Rescue™. When I received my Metal Rescue™ it was exactly as described, safe and easy to use. I removed the petcock and filler cap and washed out the tank as instructed, then I taped up the petcock hole and, once I had made sure it was not going to leak, I poured in the Metal Rescue™. I filled the tank a little over halfway then taped up the filler cap hole. I left it for about 24 hours then turned it upside down and let it soak again for 24 hours. When the time was up I took the tape off and poured the Metal Rescue™ out in to another container. The liquid had changed to more of a black colour and the inside of the tank, to my surprise, looked like a new tank, the metal was shining and there was no trace of the rust. The Metal Rescue™ worked brilliantly and I have had no problems with rust in the filter since. I would definitely recommend using Metal Rescue™ as unlike so many products you find on the internet this one really does do exactly what it says. 5 ***** from me."
Wayne O'Brien – Waterford, Ireland "I've had great success with rusty exterior automotive surfaces, by applying clean, dry shop rags to the affected areas and soaking them with Metal Rescue. It takes a while, while keeping the rags wet, but it's a lot easier and less destructive than cleaning with any sort of abrasives. Thanks for a great product!"
